TAKING CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
– EVERY DAY

It is impossible to produce packaging material without putting a strain on the environment. At BLUEPACK we make efforts in minimizing the environmental strain.

As from 11 October 2007 we have been awarded the ISO 14001:2004 environmental certificate, but the initiative to take care of the environment started years before that. Every day all working procedures are carried out in the best way possible paying great attention to the environment. Furthermore, we carefully select suppliers who have the same attitude when it comes to environmental aspects.

Since 2006 we have prepared a green balance sheet. We register our energy consumption and simultaneously we record our waste discharge and outgoing packaging material. Registration helps us aiming at reducing our strain on the environment. By way of example, we have declared that our target is to reduce our consumption of water and electricity yearly. And we are on the right track.

All employees keep a copy of our environmental hand book in which our objectives about the environment have been laid down. We all want to reduce the strain on the environment continuously and aim at our objectives.

If we make a faulty print, which must be rejected, it will put a strain not only on our economy, but also on the environment. Therefore, in such case we elaborate a failure report. This means that we can reduce the number of mistakes although we can never eliminate them totally. However, it is of great importance to mention that bags holding a faulty print will not only be rejected. In addition, we sell them as "bags of faulty print" or/and these bags will be used as packaging for specific deliveries.

After having aimed at reducing the strain on the environment for some years, it has become a natural part of our daily life. This applies for the production department, for the office as well as on the road.

Thus, we are not only talking about the environment. We also act in order to achieve improvements. Our guarantee is our environmental certificate which obliges us to record how we put a strain on the environment and how we can reduce this strain. All must be recorded. And so we do. Every day.
